Ronald Dean Madden went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2024 at the age of 74. He was born on January 6, 1950 in Dumas, Texas to parents Jackie and Betty Madden.
To say that Ron loved fishing is an understatement. It was a passion of his. He won many fishing tournaments and was quite the angler. He always drove around with a fishing pole is his truck just in case he felt the urge. He also loved sitting and watching his horses. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His way of showing his love to them was to tease them. It would always make him smile when they would yell back, "PAPAW!".
Ron is preceded in death by his father, Jackie Madden; and his sister, Carol Douglas.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Madden; his sister, Valerie Nagley and husband Frank; his two daughters, Ronda Edgar and husband Kyle, and Leslie Willoughby; six wonderful grandchildren, Collin Prickett, Dillon Edgar, Kaylee Edgar, Brody Edgar, Brenden Pritchard, and Kodie Pritchard.
Ron was a great son, brother, dad, grandpa, in-law, and friend. The Lord has found a good one. We love him and we will miss him. We will see you again someday, Papaw. Leave some fish for us to catch.
