Ronald Jay Kearney October 4, 1936 ~ April 2, 2019 Was born Oct. 4, 1936 to Robert and Daisy Kearney at home in New Hope, Texas. He had a twin brother Donald Ray, who lived 10 days. He is proceeded in death by his father Robert Kearney, mother Daisy Kearney, brother Donald Kearney, Great grandson Brendon Chapman, niece Monica Santana. Graduated Garland High School 1955. Member as well as Deacon of Hilltop Baptist Church of Sunnyvale for over 60 years. Worked at De Soto paint for 42 years. Worked in the Rockwall jail ministry for over 25 years. Married the love of his life Wanda Sue Duckworth on July 20, 1956. Survived by his wife of 62 years Wanda Kearney, daughter Ronda Chapman husband Rusty, son Garry Kearney wife Tracy, son Bob Kearney wife Joanie Grandchildren Eric Chapman wife Mikaela Leigh Anne Chapman Charly Banks, husband Jared “Lil Bob” Kearney, fianc Jillian (Pocahontas) Heather Graham,husband Josh Sam Simpson, wife Ashley Taylor Kearney, wife Olivia Holly Kearney, fianc Brice Chance Kearney Honorary grandchildren Rose Alsaid and Xanthius Santana 14 great grandchildren- Brighton, Brendon, Braylon, Nevaeh, Amaya, Kolsie, Kaslee, Ella, Ava, Brittiny, Morgan, Makenna, Conner and Calvin Brother John Kearney, wife Joyce. Caregivers Debra and Preston Turner Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, fellow church members and friends. Funeral services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas on April 5th at 10. The family will receive friends and family Thursday evening 6-8.
