A loving husband, the kindest father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren, a great brother and uncle to his siblings, nephews and nieces; a one-of-a-kind person indeed! On the 1st of September 2020 my father left his mortal body and went on to explore the universe and is now among the angels who are guiding us all.
Rolando Ollero Geneta was born on February 15, 1955, he had told us countless stories of his adventures growing up. He was very cheerful, everyone can say that he had a very happy and memorable childhood; it may not be the perfect one as there might have been some struggles, but hey, who ever had a perfect one, right? He faced a lot of challenges but those were the ones that made him stronger, wiser and yet kinder and even more loving. He is also very generous and is always ready to lend a helping hand whenever someone is in need. Make no mistake, he is not perfect, he is also moody sometimes although try to understand that it might be due to the fact that he might have been trying hard to understand as he had completely lost his hearing for about 20 years ago. He was very resourceful and clever though, as most of the people would not even notice at times as he has learned how to lip-read and when the going gets tough, you can always write it in a piece of paper. Now his hearing is already back for sure, so can say your little prayer for him (talk to him, if you may and for sure he will listen). There are a lot more things to say and a lot of things that we are thankful and grateful for. And we know that he will always be there to guide us along the way.
Friends (and strangers he would love to have met) can join us to celebrate him on a Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (950 Trails Pkwy Garland, TX75043) on Tuesday, September 8, at 2 PM.
