Tunnell, Roger Glenn was born in Dallas, Texas on August 28, 1963.He graduated from North Mesquite High School in 1981.Married Shelly Sleeper and had two boys, Roger Glenn Jr. and Michael Aaron Tunnell. Roger liked to fish especially during the summer at his grandparents home in Wills Point, TX. where he spent most of his summer vacations during his school years.Roger had various occupations until he settled on being an automatic transmission mechanic.He worked at David McDavid in Irving before working at Dwight & Dons in Mesquite.Roger was an automatic transmission technician of the highest caliber with his vast knowledge and years of experience.Roger started racing slot cars in 1975 and continued until 1997, because of this love of racing slot cars he was the Texas State Champion in open slot car class in 1995.Roger had many friends, touched many lives, loved his family and was a wonderful precious SON with a BIG HEART. Preceded in death by mother:Carolyn Rea Tunnell; grandfather, Charles Merlin Tunnell, Sr., grandmother, Mary Katherine Tunnell. Survived by ex-wife:Shelly Ann Tunnell, children:, Roger Glenn Tunnell, Jr. & wife, Windessa,Michael Aaron Tunnell; granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Tunnell; father, Charles Merlin Tunnell, Jr. & wife, Lavelle; sister: Leanne Rea Tunnell; uncle, Michael Tunnell; aunt, Kathy & Don Hatley; Ronald Dean Hefley; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday afternoon from 1:00PM - 3:00PM.
