Roger Barringer

Roger Alan Barringer, 73, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away on October 12, 2023. He was born on June 27, 1950. Roger was a kind, spirited, funny, and dedicated peace officer. He served over 40 years in law enforcement, notably with the Mesquite Police Department.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Debra Barringer, his brother Ronnie, his son Brandon Cade, his daughter Heather, and his step-children Damion, Lance, Lindsey, and Abra. He was also a cherished grandfather to 11 grandchildren. Roger was preceded in death by his brothers Ray and Stuart, as well as his parents Roscoe and Faye.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas, and the funeral service, a celebration of a life well-lived, will take place on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 2 pm, also at New Hope Funeral Home.
