Robert Wayne Wilson was born September 19, 1967, in Midland, Texas. He met his Lord and Savior August 21, 2020 after accepting the Lord into his heart and life in 2013 at Casa View Baptist Church where he was also baptized. Robert graduated in 1986 from Forrest High School in Monroe, Texas. He returned to Midland, where he worked in the oil fields as a pipe hauler.
In 2012, he moved to the Dallas area where he met Angela Bilyeu, They were together ever since and finally she said "yes" at the top of a mountain July 10, 2014 in Kodiak, Alaska. They were married July 10, 2017. He was a family man and a care taker who loved his family more than life itself.
He began his new career with UPS Freight in April, 2014, as a driver who loved his job and made many new and great friends. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union.
Robert was the outgoing, full of life part of our family. He never met a stranger! He was a thrill seeker who loved life to the fullest, regularly telling Angela, "We are not guaranteed tomorrow." He was so compassionate that he would take 2 sandwiches in his lunch, just so he could give the extra one to a homeless person. He loved animals, travel and classic rock, which explains some of our song selections. MOST OF ALL, he was a proud, loving husband and father.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert Wayne Wilson Sr and wife Helen, and half-brother Brian Chase Putman. He is wife survived by his wife Angela Wilson, son Weston Lane Wilson, step-daughter Ashton Simons, father Jimmy Putman and wife Susan, mother Rhonda Kay Wilson, brother Jimmy Putman-Wilson Jr., and half-sisters Maggie Mae Delossantos, Dana Humble, Karen Neagle; and many other extended family.
