SPENCE, JR., Robert Leslie, born February 23,1946, passed away March 7, 2014. Born in Waco, TX. and spent his childhood in Waco.He served in the Marines in the Vietnam War.He spent the majority of his later life in Ft. Worth, TX. before moving to Mesquite, TX. Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a sister-in-law of Ft. Worth, TX. He is survived by his wife, Linda Godfrey Spence of Mesquite, TX; sisters, Marie Burks of Arlington, TX. and Kelly Johnston of Ft. Worth, TX; aunts, Patsy Arhey of Prairie Hill, TX. and Diane Garcia of Covington, OK; mother-in-law, Gladys Godfrey of Mesquite, TX; sister-in-law, Kimley Godfrey of Mesquite, TX; brothers-in-law, Edwin Godfrey of Waynesville, MO. and Alan Godfrey of Mesquite, TX.He is also survived by his children, Carole Coffin of Enid, OK. & husband, Jerry; Gina Johnson of Waldron, AR. & husband, George, Roy Blackwell of Woodstock, GA. & wife, Misty, Curtis Blackwell of Dallas, TX, Misty Rothliss Kinney of Weatherford, TX. and Reese Coomer of Mesquite, TX.He also had numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchilden.
