ADAY, Robert Randall . . .Born September 17, 1923 in Ellis County, Texas to Robert and Bonnie Aday.Called home to Heaven on December 29, 2010.Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Jesse Keel; sister, Christine Adams; grandchildren Casey, Nichole, Brandon, Daniel, Ethan, Jeremy, Shane and Rachel, and six great grandchildren, Ashton, Macy, Teagan, Jaxon, Rylee and Skylar.Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise; his son, Terry; and his brother, Winslow.He also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.He was a simple man who lived a life of faith and service, but after his faith, his highest calling was that of a husband, father and grandfather.He served in the Army Air Corp in World War II.He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove and a member of the Scottish Rite, R.C. Buckner Masonic Lodge.After 27 years of service, he retired from Ford Motor Company and spent many years of his life in support ofthe working man through service to the United Auto Workers Union.He leaves behind a legacy of love and caring and was a joy to all who knew him.The Aday family gratefully acknowledges the love and support of family and friends, and especially thanks Donna Dickey for her loving care of a wonderful man.The world is a lesser place without him.. . .Absent from the body; present with the Lord . . . The family will receive visitors on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from2-4 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX.A service in celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Chapel at New Hope Funeral Home, Reverend Duane Crane officiating; interment to follow at Laurel Land.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Auto Workers Local 870 Retiree Chapter, 1341 W. Mockingbird Ln. #301, Dallas, TX 75247.
