Richard Charles Watson

Richard Charles Watson was born on May 9, 1944 and passed away on February 3, 2018. Richard is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Charles Watson; grandparents; and brother, Robert Joseph Watson. Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jane Watson; children: Robert Watson and wife Annette; Donna Watson; grandchildren: Melissa Watson, Aaron Martinez, Alexis Allen, Jaycee Watson; great grandchildren: Kolt Duncan, Kase Duncan; parents, Gladys Watson; brothers: Raymond Watson, Rodney Watson and wife Barbara; sister, Sandra Harvey and husband Jim; dog, Bella and numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was a proud Texas A&M graduate, Class of 1966 and a Vietnam Veteran who served our country as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Richard loved spending time with his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved golf and racing and passed along the love of racing to his children. Some of Richard’s proudest moments were watching his kids race. A visitation will be held for Richard on Thursday February 8, 2018 from 12:00PM-2:00PM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas with service to follow at 2:00PM.Interment will be on Friday February 9, 2018 at 9:30AM DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.Anyone who would like to go the Graveside please be at DFW at 9:15 and line up in Lane 3.
