SANDERS, Richard Carlton of Rockwall, TX was born December 17, 1955, passed away November 12, 2012. surround by his wife, Selina and his two children Tim and Brittany. Richard fought a hard battle with cancer. He was a devoted and loving husband nearly of 27 years. A wonderful father to his children they called him the best. His kids where the apple of his eye's. He was devoted to his family who were the most important people in is life. Richard never met a stranger and he loved helping others. He was a hard worker never missing a day of work. He was a master talented musician, he loved playing his guitar and writing his own music. His music was his passion. Family and friends will all agree there was not a more talented musician than Richard. He had a soft heart and was soft spoken. Humble in every way. He loved the Lord with all his heart and continued to praise his Heavenly Father till the end. His family was his life. His music was his passion. A man with a heart of gold. He continued till his death talking to other about the Lord and sharing Jesus. He was a wonderful father, husband and friend. His legacy to his wife and kids was to love, and take care of each other. Be kind and thankful for everything and to everyone. That was the way he lived his life with a thankful heart. Thankfulness was his signature of life. He was loved by all that knew him. Richard always had a sparkle in his beautiful eyes. He was funny, smart, talented, loving and had a heart of gold for all he knew. He was a very special man. Now walking in total healing with his heavenly Father. He will be deeply missed. Richard was preceded in death by father, Hylton (Sandy) Sanders. He is survived by wife, Selina; his son, Timothy, his daughter, Brittany. His mother, Marilyn Sanders, his brother, Sandy Sanders and his wife Karen, his sister, Cheryl (Sherry) Carter and her husband Steve. His step-mother, Chris Sanders. His nephews & nieces, Amy Tarno, Samantha Sanders, Carlton Alexander, Shelby Alexander, Makenzie Sanders, Leslie Whorton, Morgan Cook, Stuart Murphy and his best friend his dog, Eli Sanders. Services will be 2:00PM Friday November 16, 2012 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Interment will be in New Hope Memorial Gardens, Sunnyvale, TX.
