Richard Bryan Kitchell

KITCHELL, Richard "Rick" of Mesquite, born February 5, 1948, passed away June 13, 2006. Rick was preceded in death by son, Tod Bryan Kitchell of San Diego, CA. From his youth, Rick loved all sports, especially baseball at which he was very talented.He was extremely close to his large family, and was a wonderful son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.He was a commercial insurance agent by profession for most of his life and was liked by those who knew him. Rick was diagnosed with esophagus cancer in February 2006 and fought through chemotherapy, radiation and surgery with spirit and bravery.He will be missed but will live on in our memories.He is now resting peacefully with his Savior, Jesus. Survived by wife, Paula LockKitchell of Mesquite; sons, Richard Bryan Kitchell, Jr., of Lexington, MO., Jeffrey Cagle Kitchell of Lewisville, TX.; parents, John F. & Elinor Kitchell of The Colony, TX.; sisters, Mary Lou Kitchell of Carrollton, TX. and Peggy Jean Whited of Valley View, TX.; brother, John R. Kitchell of The Colony, TX.; several nieces and nephews. Service will be 10:00AM Thursday June 15, 2006 at the Mimosa Lane Baptist Church, 1233 N. Belt Line Rd., Mesquite, TX. 75149, with Rev. Rocky Pope and Rev. Gilbert Davis officiating
