GERKEN, Richard Eugene of Garland, born December 6, 1933, passed away November 18, 2003. Preceded in death by his dad, Leo Eugene Gerken. Survived by wife, Tequita "Tiny" Gerken of Garland; 3 daughters, Susan Badgett & husband, Bill of Richardson, Tammy Barnhart of Mineola, Natalie Gilliam of Garland; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; mother, Esther Elizabeth Hamilton; 2 brothers, several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 3:00PM Friday, November 21, 2003, at the Long Creek Cemetery in Sunnyvale, TX.. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. The family request donations to be sent to the American Lung Association.
