Ricardo G. Alvarado

Ricardo G. Alvarado Passed away peacefully on Saturday morning March 29, 2008 with his family at his side. Preceded in death by his Mother, Edmerenciana, and father Jose Alvarado; Brothers Baudelio Alvarado and Joaquin Alvarado and Sister Carmen Alvarado. He is survived by: His wife of 65 years Isidora S. Alvarado; Sons, Lupe,Ricardo Jr., Cruz and Jesus;and DaughtersTheresa,Rosario, Martina and Juanita. He was blessed with 17 grand children and 3 great grand children. He was born in San Marcos, TX on Sept. 27, 1922. Proudly served his country as a soldier in the Air Force during World War II. He enjoyed being outdoors, he spent many Sundays driving his family through the East Texas pines for weekend getaways and picnics. He enjoyed working with his hands so much he built a lake house for he and his wife to enjoy. He spent many weekends with his family celebrating holidays and the many birthdays.At these family gatherings he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.This time was always filled with jokes and laughter. Spending time with family and friends is an important family value that he has passed on to his children and grandchildren and one that will always be treasured. He will always be remembered for his never ending smile, strength and generosity. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice. Following the funeral there will be a reception at 1626 Dakota Dr. Garland, TX 75043.All friends and family are invited.
