Reagan Raneer Robbins

Reagan Robbins led with his heart. It was his to give, and he gave it fully. He poured his heart into his music from the first time he turned his mother’s pots into a set of drums. Later, he invested his passion in Mesquite High School, writing the school’s drumline “Skeeter Funk” that’s still played today. His smile beamed bright whether playing for his family or before large crowds. His heart connected with others through drumming, bull riding, motorcycles, BMX racing, Masons’ meetings, Shriners’ events, morning breakfasts and business appointments. No matter who you were or what you’d been through, Reagan saw the good in you. Many times, he’d help you find it when you couldn’t. His heart was fullest when with his family. He bragged on them often and cherished their moments together. Evenings at Braum’s were magical treats with his grandchildren. Trips with his wife were sanctuaries for their souls. Reagan had a heart for people and a heart for God. He used his wry sense of humor and ability to relate to others to bring them closer to Christ. He felt a call to preach and pursued it passionately. In his last days, he was completing his Cowboy Church Certificate of Ministry from Dallas Baptist University and had recently been awarded his Certificate of License to the Gospel Ministry from Dallas County Cowboy Church. Reagan is survived by his mother Barbara Boedeker, her companion LaVonne Stanley; father Allen Robbins and companion Pat Slape; wife Coleen Robbins; children Dawn Wade, Heather Boles and her husband Tim; Rachel Johnson and her husband Randy; and Reagan Robbins. Grandchildren Madison, Clara, Shelby, Molly, Waylon, Deacon and Dalton; sister Shirley Ginder; brother Randy Bixler; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His extended family includes Dallas County Cowboy Church, Baptist General Convention of Texas, American Fellowship of Cowboy Churches, Mesquite High School Alumni, Donna’s Kitchen family, Business Community Associates, brother Masons, brother Shriner’s and a multitude of friends.
