R.D. Wade

Dr. R. D. Wade left this earthly life for his Heavenly Home Saturday, July 11th, 2015. He was born May 7, 1931, in Burns City, Texas, to O.M. & Elsie Wade.He was the beloved pastor of First Baptist Church of Meadowview in Mesquite, Texas (formerly Pleasant Grove Baptist Temple in Dallas, Texas) for 43 years.In his 63 year ministry, Dr. Wade pastored churches in Belton, Gainesville, Denton, and Austin, Texas; and DeQuincy, Louisiana.He also founded Temple Christian School in Dallas; where for 33years until its closing in 2008, countless young people were educated in a Christian environment.He was known as a "Friend of Missionaries". He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Evea Milburn Wade; and his son William (Bill) Alan Wade. He is survived by his four children and their spouses; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; along with a host of church family and friends.
