Raymond Lee Fuentes Sr. was born in Dallas, Texas on March 25, 1936 and passed away on April 13, 2017. Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; Manuel and Alma Fuentes and brother;Roger Fuentes. Raymond is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lynne Fuentes; children: Ramona Hyatt and husband James; Tonia Smith and husband Terry, Janie Davis and husband John, Raymond Fuentes Jr.; grandchildren: Gene, Tiffani, Terrance, John, Jason, Ashlee, Ray, Audra, Jessyca, Taylor, Alex, Justin; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Cruz and husband Ernest, Sister-in-laws: Sharron Nichols and Darlene Fuentes and numerous nieces and nephews. Raymond served in the Marine Corp. in the Korean War from 1953-1956. After Korea he became a business owner for the next 25 years before retiring to his favorite lake at Cypress Springs where he enjoyed the water and watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys.Raymond was also a avid golfer and popular race car driver in the 60s and 70s spending many years at Devil’s Bowl Speedway and a 32nd Mason Shriner. A visitation will be held for Raymond on Sunday April 16, 2017 from 5:00PM-7PM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas. Funeral Service will be on Monday April 17, 2017 at 1:00PM at Family Cathedral of Praise in Mesquite, Texas. Interment will be on Tuesday at 10:15AM at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
