Ralph Lawrence Nichols

NICHOLS, Ralph L. (Larry) of Mesquite, born February 3, 1930, passed away July 28, 2006. Preceded in death by father, Ralph Winston Nichols; mother, Winnie Nichols-McCall. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris Nichols; daughter, Vicki Brooks & husband, David; son, Paul Nichols & wife, Angie; grandchildren, Lauren & Jonathan Brooks, Megan Nichols and Dalton Trott; sisters, RaNelle Parker & husband, T. F., Martha Northcutt & husband, Bobby; sister-in-law, Jonell Bean; many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Ralph, who was affectionately known to his family as Larry, began his life in Clarendon, Texas where he lived for many years until he moved to the Dallas area.He later served his country in the United States Navy, graduated from North Texas State University, and worked for Royal Insurance Company until his retirement at the age of 62.He was a member of the Meadow View Church of Christ. Ralph enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, hunting, bowling, playing 42 and spending time with his friends and family.He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Service will be 11:00AM Tuesday August 1, 2006 at the Meadow View Church of Christ, 4100 N. Galloway, Mesquite, TX. 75150. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
