Rajan P. Philip

Rev. Rajan P. Philip was born on November 30th, 1940 to Cherian and Thankamma Philip of Paruthimoottil House, Edathua, Kerala. He married Mariamma Rajan of Ayroor Pakalomattom Thazhamon Cherukara Kolakottu, Kerala. While conducting the family owned business in Ranni, Kerala, India, God called them to full time ministry. After miraculously escaping three major accidents, God had confirmed His will leading both Pastor Rajan and Mariamma to surrender their lives to full time ministry. He was a senior pastor of Church of God In India (Full Gospel). God graciously allowed them to establish churches in various locations throughout Kerala. He was also a well-known Christian writer. He wrote two books in Malayalam: True Worship and A Collection of Celestial Gifts, along with several poems and articles. In 1996 Rev. Rajan P. Philip and family came to the USA. They founded Dallas Church of God in 1998. He retired in 2015 and passed the ministry over to his son in law, Pastor Shaji Thomas. Over forty years he was faithful minister for God’s kingdom. Early morning on March 24, 2017 he was called home to be with the Lord. He will be greatly missed and will be in our hearts until we meet him again. His influence and godly example had a great impact on his family and those he ministered to for the glory of God. Rev. Rajan P. Philip was preceded in death by his wife, Mariamma Rajan. He survived by his daughter: Lovely Shaji and her husband Pastor Shaji Thomas Vechoochira, their children Shalom and Sherlin; son: Levi Rajan Philip and his wife Brighty, their children Lebrin and Levin; son: Lordson Rajan Philip and his wife Sunitha, their children Chris, Christyn, and Chrishauna. He is survived by his siblings: Ammukutty Thomas, Jainamma Philipose, Varghese Philip, George Philip, and Wilson Philip.
