R C Dodd

R.C. DODD,was born on February 9, 1926 in Delta County, Texas to Thomas Jefferson and Nettie Lee Dodd.He passed away on February 22, 2007, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jefferson and Nettie Lee Dodd. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elba Dodd and son, Richard Dodd andhis wife LouAnn, and his grandchildren Kevin and Lindsey; and son, Randy Dodd. Also survived by brother, Gaston Dodd and wife Nelma; sister, Edna Harmon and numerous nieces and nephews, and caregiver, Mente Teferra. R.C had many friends and led a very full life.He was the owner of the Dodd Barber Shop in Pleasant Grove for many years.The shop has recently moved to Forney, Texas and is operated by his sons, Richard and Randy. Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 24, 2007 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy 80, Sunnyvale, Texas 75182. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 23, 2007.
