R. D. (Relmond Dean) was born on December 10, 1937 in Martins Mill, TX. to O. K. Halbrook and Ruby (Johnson) Halbrook. He entered his Heavenly Home August 1, 2016. Services will be 3:00PM Saturday August 6, 2016 at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX. , 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Phone # 972-226-2111. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00PM - 7:00PM on Friday August 5, 2016 at the funeral home. R. D. Served 4 years in the United States Air Force.He became a licensed Real Estate Broker in 1970 and enjoyed helping folks find the home of their dreams and made many friends along the way.He also worked as Foreman and Superintendent for several large construction companies such as Hill & Wilkerson and CECO. He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa (Bampa), devoted to his family and friends.His strong faith and encouraging spirit was a true inspiration to all. Although he is no longer here with us, his presence will remain in our hearts forever. He will be missed dearly.R.D. is survived by the love of his life, wife, Marlene Halbrook; daughters, Teri (Don) Holamon, Tami (Austin) Curry, Dana (James) Tidwell; granddaughters, Jessica (Clint) Eaton, Abigail Curry, Hannah Holamon, Christian Tidwell, Brittney Tidwell and Brooklyn Tidwell; grandsons, Adam (Stephanie) Lattanzi, Andrew Lattanzi, Austin (Marissa) Curry, Seth Grugle, Trevor Grugle, Brandon Grugle; great grandson, Luca Lattanzi; brother, Donnie (Patricia) Halbrook; sisters, Jean Schwenter of Michigan, and Carol Ann (Robert) Parks of Garland and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Ruby Halbrook. R.D.'s six grandsons, Adam Lattanzi, Seth Grugle, Andrew Lattanzi, Brandon Grugle, Austin Curry III, and Clint Eaton are honored to be serving as pallbearers. Interment will be in New Hope Memorial Gardens, Sunnyvale, TX.
