Phyllis May Miller

January 8, 1923 — March 30, 2010

Phyllis May Lawrence Miller was a cherished and beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and wonderful friend. Phyllis was born in Dallas Texas on January 8, 1923. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and retired from Mobil Oil Company. Phyllis married the love of her life, Guy Fain Lawrence on August 8, 1941 and was married for 57 years before he passed on November 21, 1995. Phyllis was a long time member of Mt. Auburn Christian Church before joining Eastridge Park Christian Church in Mesquite, Texas. She was active in the Friendship Fellowship Sunday School Classes, Christian Women'sFellowship and Double Nickel Club. Her church was her life. As a cheerful Christian servant, she accompanied BrotherDan on his many pastoral visits and was there to help in any way she could. She loved to throw parties for the office staff and also to cook for the congregation - she was especially known for her most famous and delicious chicken salad (the recipe she left behind for us feeds 200 people..). Phyllis is survived by her daughter Nancy Ann Lewis, her sister Patricia Davis and family, her grandchildren Kimberley Verity, Candy Perry, Eric Murley, Jill Willis and family and Kerri Murley. She was a loving memommy to: John Ryan, Jordan, Taylor, Payton, Addison, Trinity, Morgan, Landen, Kyleigh, Anaston and Madison. She was preceded in death by her husband Guy Lawrence, Claude Miller and her son Richard Lawrence. Phyllis was a beautiful person and had such a passion for life. She has left a footprint in many of our lives. She was a very adventurous traveler and is now on the most important journey of all, as her last breath on earth was her first breath in heaven. Her family is so grateful for her unconditional love and for the loving support she gave to all of us during her precious lifetime. The special memories will remain fresh and she will be forever remembered in our hearts. She will be dearly missed. Memorials may be made to The Building Fund at Eastridge Park Christian Church in Mesquite, Texas. Thank you for helping us celebrate the most important lady in our life.
