Visitation will be at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 East Hwy 80, Sunnyvale, TX 75182 on Sunday, January 6, 2008 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM and also 1:00 - 3:00 PM on Monday, January 7, 2008.The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM. An additional visitation will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home 507 Foster Street in Rayville, Louisiana 71269 will be on January 8th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and 1-2:00 PM on January 9th. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 3:00 PM with interment at Rayville Masonic Cemetery. Penny was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph V. Powell, JR. of Rayville, LA.She is survived by her twin brother, Benny Powell, Terrell, TX, parents Ralph and Barbara Powell, Rayville, LA, sister Janis Guyton and husband, William, Monroe, LA, brother Mark Powell, Rayville, LA, David Powell and wife Kristen, Las Vegas, NV,nephew Joseph Williams and wife Deanne of Frisco, TX, Nephew Brandon Powell of Las Vegas, NV, niece Amber Powell of Salt Lake City, UT, Great Nephew Christopher Williams and great niece Katherine Williams of Frisco, TX, Uncle Bill Wynn and wife Virginia, Monroe, LA, cousin Terri Luffey and husband Dave of Monroe, La., cousin Mike Ruggs, Maud, TX, cousin Cheryl Mapston. Penny graduated from Riverfield Academy in Rayville, LA.While at Riverfield she played the clarinet and was on the basketball team. Penny also graduated from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, LA majoring in Information Technology.She had been employed as a computer programmer for twenty years. Penny will always be remembered for her big heart and her exceptional dedication to her family.
