Peggy Morris, age 82, passed away on April 9, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.A resident of Mesquite, Texas, Peggy joined her husband, Billy Lenard Morris in heaven after a courageous battle of renal disease and cancer. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, the love of her life, Billy Lenard Morris.They met in Waco, Texas in 1952 at the drive-in movie theater where Peggy worked in the concession stand and married on June 26, 1954 in Waco. Peggy was born on April 3, 1936 in Gholson, Texas to Ollie Lee and Blue Belle Gassaway, both preceding her in death, along with her sister, Bonnie Ruth Sanders. Peggy is survived by her children, daughter Sherry Chumbley and husband, David; daughter Carol Hill and husband, Stanley; daughter Cynthia (Cindy) Williams; and son Billy (Bo) Morris Jr. and wife, Lanise. Peggy is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; sister Judy Abel; brother Randall Gassaway; and brother Richard (Peanut) Gassaway. Peggy worked at Montgomery Wards at Big Town for several years. As she started having grandchildren, Peggy decided it was more important to stay home and spending time with her grandchildren.She loved her family with all her heart and fought until the very end but, her Lord and Savior was ready to reunite her with the love of her life in heaven.
