Paul passed away on December 15th. He was born on January 23, 1926, the son of Clara and Albert Martin, both deceased. Paul was a proud veteran and served in the Army at the end of WWII and during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Novelle Lambert Martin. He is also survived by - His daughter Pamela McWhirter, and her husband Stan, of Garland Texas. His son Randall, and his wife Carolyn, of Cedar Park Texas. Two grandchildren, Kristen Lohkamp Hale of Austin Texas, and Nicholas Martin McWhirter, and his wife Erin, of Dallas Texas. He had four great grandchildren, Sydney and Skylar Lohkamp of Cedar Park and Davis Paul and Baker Martin McWhirter of Dallas. Paul spent his career in the printing business as an outside salesman. His charm, and attention to people at all levels, opened doors easily. One introduction, and he would remember your name forever. His specialty was working with law and accounting firms, preparing the very detailed and accurate documents necessary for SEC filings. Through hard work and prudent investing he was able to retire at 58 years of age, a fact that he was very proud of. Always interested in the business world, he followed the stock market up until his stay in the hospital. After retirement, he and Novelle toured the country in their pickup and 5th wheel trailer. They always enjoyed camping in the RV and especially enjoyed the friends that they made along the way. Over the years, they incorporated their love of camping with their love for square and round dancing. They developed the routine of spending summers in Ruidoso, New Mexico and winters in the Texas Rio Grande valley, square and round dancing the nights away. Paul will be remembered by all that knew him as a kind man with a sensitive heart . He was quick with a joke, always welcoming and gracious. He was the ultimate provider, looking out for those around him with forethought and wisdom. Certainly, he leaves big shoes to fill and a huge gap in the lives of those who shared his life. Internment will be at the DFW National Cemetery, Monday December 21st at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, honor Paul by sending a donation to Disabled American Veterans, or the charity of your choice.
