Paul Dean Coldiron 27 October 1940 - 20 June 2012 Paul Dean Coldiron, 71, died Wednesday, 20 June 2012 at Mesquite, TX. He was born 27 October 1940 in Stewart County, Tennessee, a son of Otto G. Coldiron and Addie May Middleton. Those surviving him include wife Joan (nee: Wood) of Mesquite, TX, daughter Kimberly (Shawn) Latham of Mesquite,TX; granddaughter Morgan Latham and grandson Peyton Latham. Also surviving are brothers Hayward (Beverly) Coldiron of East Smithfield, PA: Charles (Shirley) Coldiron of Leesburg, FL; Otto (Patricia) Coldiron of Masaryktown, FL; and Karl (Donna) Coldiron of Horseheads, NY. Also surviving are sisters Juanita (David) May of East Smithfield, PA and Imogene (Rex) Paris of Sayre, PA. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Clifford and Clarence Coldiron, and sister Geneva Duggan. Paul married Joan Carol Wood on 28 October 1967 in East Smithfield, PA. Joan is daughter of Joseph I. Wood and Lena A. Giles. After Paul graduated from SRU High School in East Smithfield, PA in 1958, he worked for East Smithfield Farms and Alart Chevrolet in Horseheads, NY. He was in the US Army from October 1963 to October 1965, with a tour of duty in Germany where his units responsibility was to guard Checkpoint Charlie. After the military service, he worked for Westinghouse Corp. in Horseheads, NY to December 1977. Shortly thereafter, he moved his family to Dallas, TX and he worked for Texas Instruments Co. in Dallas to 1981. He worked at Continental Electronics 1981 to 2008 as a Quality Control Supervisor until his retirement. Paul was also a musician from 1958 to 1980, playing bass guitar in a Country & Western band headed by his brother Clifford. Family will receive friends on Monday, June 25th at New Hope Funeral Home from6pm - 8pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 26th at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sunnyvale, TX.
