Mrs. Patricia Ann "Patti" Littrell, age 72, of Crandall, Texas passed away Friday afternoon, January 31, 2025 surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer diagnosed in December, 2024.
Patti, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Patti is preceded in death by mother, Georgia Rivard; step-father, Ernie Rivard; father, Quentin Upson; brother, Steve Upson; and grandmother, Ellen Tucker.
Patti is survived by husband of 27 years, John Littrell; son, David Burleson and wife Pamela; sisters, Sharon Davis and Diane Whisenant; step-daughters, Stacy, Brandy, Sandi and Cindy. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
Patti spent over 45 years working in the legal profession as a legal secretary for three law firms in Dallas, Texas. Most recently, Patti worked at Carrington, Coleman in Dallas. After 18 years of service to the firm, Patti retired in May 2024 at a celebration hosted by the firm and joined by family and friends. Patti's work was an integral part of her life and enjoyment.
Patti especially enjoyed spending time at her grandchildren's events, reading, crosswords, and taking trips with her husband John, her sister Sharon and her friends. Patti found her highest calling in her relationship with Jesus Christ and service alongside her church family. Patti and John are active members at Central Baptist Church in Crandall where she enjoyed various ministries, including hospitality and serving in outreach to the local community.
Patti's commitment to serve others before herself permeated her faith, family, and work. Whether working extra time when needed to help others, working to supply the local homeless shelter with food and clothing or sewing patches on her grandchildren's scouting uniforms, Patti always placed the needs of others before her own. Patti's kindness, faith and service before herself touched the lives of everyone she met.
Galatians 5:13 - "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love"
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Patti Littrell Charitable Fund, Central Baptist Church of Crandall for the benefit of the hospitality ministry, or the Texas Country Boys music ministry.
