Murry Vaughn Pruett , Born on June. 15, 1925 - Departed on, August 23, 2011 resided in Mesquite, TX. Bro. M. V. Pruett, of Mesquite, Texas, passed away peacefully at Beacon Hospice in Longview, Texas on August 23, 2011. Following a public burial at The Mesquite Cemetery at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 27, 2011, a service of worship and celebration will be held at 2:00 pm at Wildwood Baptist Church. Family will receive friends at the Wildwood Baptist Church Friday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. A decorated WWII veteran, M.V.Pruett lived a life of service to others. He loved the Lord and was always on a mission to tell others about Him. He truly was a friend to all who knew him. His most treasured times were spent with family and friends. On any given day, you might find him at good fishing hole just whistling from his heart, but more than anything he was talking about Wildwood Baptist Church and his ministry there. Bro. Pruett was proceeded in death by Barbara Fry Pruett his beloved wife of 60 years, his son Stephen Vaughn Pruett and son in law Dr. Dale Robert Lawrence. He is survived by his three daughters and their families: Kathy & Mack Williams, Paula & Mark Weatherford and Kelley Pruett Lawrence; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
