Pamela K. Orr, beloved mother, wife, sister, and aunt, went on to be with her Heavenly Father on April 30th, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruthie Keenum, and sister, Lagenia Keenum. She is survived by her father, Kenneth Keenum, and sister, Donna Mathis, who married Bryan Mathis.
Bryan and Donna had two children: Bryan Jr. and Melissa Finch. Bryan Jr., or Bubba as we all called him, married Sylvia and together had Josiah Mathis. Melissa married David Finch, and are raising their own children Samantha, Hayden, and James. She remained very close with her sister, niece, nephew, and their families.
On June 22, 1985 Pam married Edward Orr. The two of them had their first child, Amelia, in August of 1997. Four years later in September of 2001, they had their second child, Hollie. Amelia married Alexis Orr. Hollie is now engaged to Clayton Rogers, they have two daughters, Serenity and Ansley. Pam's grandchildren were her entire world.
Pam is also survived by many cousins and extended family that she loved dearly.
Family was undoubtedly one of the most important parts of Pam's life. She also had a handful of hobbies that she enjoyed: walking around parks, dominating a scrabble board with her 2 letter words, and you wouldn't see her without a Sonic Coke and Marlboro cigarette. One thing she didn't receive enough credit for was her ability to clean. Her house was always spotless, she was regularly cleaning an office or someone's home, and her clothes were meticulously washed, dried, and ironed.
Clothes were a staple of Pam's life. She would shop Kohls' clearance every chance she had. Clothes were her way of showing not only herself love, but also how much she loved others. More often than not she would arrive at an event with at least one article of clothing for someone who she "just had to get it for."
When she was first diagnosed with cancer, she made the comment that "This is it. I'm going to see Momma and Lagenia again." She didn't want to fight, but she did anyways, valiantly, until the very end. Above all, I know we're all proud of her for standing strong for so long.
