Opal Faye Perkins

PERKINS, Opal Faye, born March 3, 1914, in Commerce, TX.She was the fourth of nine children born to Lonnie & Florence (Stewart) Coats, and passed away July 7, 2004 in Dallas surrounded with love by her husband and children.She married Ray Perkins on October 29, 1937 and lived over 50 years in Hunt County, in the Hickory Creek Community, before moving to the Buckner Baptist Retirement Village in Dallas to be near her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Ray, of Dallas; daughter & son-in-law, Patsy & Johnny Graves of Mesquite; son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Myna Perkins of Highland Park; grandsons, Brent & Brian Graves and Justin Perkins; granddaughters, Jordan & Katie Perkins, several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Jack & Helen Perkins of Dallas; and a host of friends. Services will be held 10:00AM Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Casa View Baptist Church, 2626 Gus Thomasson Rd., Dallas, where she was a member of the Joy Class.Dr. Karl Tingle will officiate.Nephews will be pallbearers. Interment will be 2:00PM at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, TX. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
