Ola Mae Ocker

Mae was born May 18, 1922 in Ada, OK and passed away at her home in Dallas, TX on January 30,2011. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Monnie Hogan; brothers L.C. Hogan and Tommy Hogan; and sisters Patsy Johnson and Peggy Pool. Mae is survived by brother Albert Hogan; daughters Deborah Block and husband Frank and Pamela Ocker; grandchildren Michelle Behrend, Kelly Freeman and husband Stephen, Arick Russell, and Clifton Russell; and great grandchildren Britton Behrend, Zachary Behrend and Gavin Russell. During Maes lifetime she worked as a Braniff Airlines ticket agent, a travel agency bookkeeper, and most importantly as a housewife, mother and grandmother. Mae loved to cook, sew, travel, play Bridge, solve crosswords and help others. Her family and friends will forever miss her love, laughter, advice, humor, sincerity, lightheartedness, compassion, funny stories, conversations, praise, and companionship. A memorial service to celebrate Maes life will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, February 3, 2011 at New Hope Funeral Home, Sunnyvale TX.
