Ola Marie Baker, 87, passed away on February 21, 2022, in Rockwall, Texas.
Ola Baker was born on November 9, 1934 in Linden, Texas, to Claude and Nellie Holland. Ola retired from ARCO Oil and Gas Company to enjoy more time with her grandchildren.
Ola married Charles Baker on December 10, 1952 in Dallas, Texas. The couple had 2 children, Gina Marie Morgan of Greenville, Texas and Jeffrey Charles Baker of Seagoville, Texas.
Ola was known by many names by the people who loved her. She was Mother, Nanny, Mamaw, Momma O and Omo. She was a great woman of principles based on her knowledge of The Bible and her relationship with Jesus. She loved sharing Jesus with others as a Sunday School teacher or even with her nurses or strangers who would listen.
Ola is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Franky Morgan of Greenville, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Janie Baker of Seagoville, Texas; grandchildren, Mike and Stephanie Gerardot of Frisco, Texas, Todd and Shannon Morgan of Royse City, Texas, Jonathon and Brenna Baker of Fort Worth, Texas, Billy and Kayla Baker of Tomball, Texas, and Jenny Baker of Seagoville, Texas and great-grandchildren, Ally, Andrew and Annabelle Gerardot, Jack and Emme Morgan, Hudson Baker, Kahlen Austin, Aislyn Ham, and Elias Baker.
Ola is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Baker; mother, Nellie Holland; brother John Holland; and sister, Mildred Miller.
The service for Ola Baker will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 1204 N. Hwy 175, Seagoville, Texas.
Visitation: Saturday at 10:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 1204 N. Hwy 175, Seagoville, Texas
Burial: Long Creek Cemetery, Sunnyvale, Texas.
Flowers can be sent to New Hope Funeral Home, Sunnyvale, Texas.
