O V Shoffner

O V "Skip Shoffner", Jr. passed away peacefully on 8/23/11 in Caddo Mills, TX. at 70 after a long battle with cancer. Skip was born 12/20/1940 in Clarksville, TX. & grew up in Dallas. He was a letter carrier in the Lakewood area of Dallas for 31 years. He is preceded in death by his father:O V Shoffner Sr., mother: Faye Shoffner (Ward) grandson: Jeremy Dooley. Skip was survived by his spouse: Ruby Jean Shoffner (Hart), children: Carolyn Robinson, Douglas Sewell, Philip Shoffner, grandchildren: Sarah Hendricks, Andrea Toney, Ashley Gunn, Jakob Robinson, Ainsley Shoffner, Anders Shoffner, great grandchildren: Taylor Dooley, Brooklyn Hendricks, Ethan Hendricks, Lola Kate Hendricks, Elizabeth Toney, sister: Lana Campbell. Funeral service will be 10AM Friday 8/26/11 at Gethsemane Baptist Church 2523 Clay Mathis Rd. Mesquite, TX. 75181, 972-222-0864. Family will receive friends at the church from 6PM - 8PM Thursday evening. Interment will be at Winterfield Cemetery, Pickton Texas.
