Norman McClendon

Norman McClendon Jr., 55, of Heartland, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, after a difficult battle with kidney failure.

Norman, Jr. was born on October 15, 1967 in Dallas, Texas to parents Norman, Sr. and Virginia McClendon. After graduating from Duncanville High School in 1987, Norman, Jr. worked in the trucking industry for nearly 40 years which included 17 years with Central Freight Lines and 19 years with Southeastern Freight Lines.

In 1986, Norman, Jr. met his wife, Janie, on a blind date. The two would go on to be married and enjoy over 37 years together before his passing.

Norman, Jr. was predeceased by his parents, Norman, Sr. and Virginia McClendon; and his brothers, Kenneth McClendon and Roderick McClendon.

Norman is survived by his wife, Janie McClendon; his children, Julian and Clarissa McClendon, and Ashley Perez; his grandchildren, Isabella, Catalina, Christian, and Natalia McClendon, and Ariah, Romeo, and Naylani Perez; his sister, Pamela Ervin; his brother, Tony McClendon; and a host of friends and loved ones who will greatly miss him.

Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Saturday October 7, 2023 with Visitation at 1:00 PM and Funeral Service at 2:00 PM.
