Norman DeWitt Holley-January 22, 1934-October 10, 2019 From 1952 through 1956 he served in the U.S. Air Force and received an honorable discharge as Airman 2nd Class.In 1956 he worked as Firefighter for Greenville Fire Department.In 1957 he joined the Greenville Police Department.In 1961 he entered the Dallas County Police Academy and became a Police Officer in Richardson. In 1964 he left to begin his career with the United States Postal Service. He worked as a carrier and clerk at the Richardson Post Office until 1973 when he entered the Postal Inspection Service at Dallas/Fort Worth until he retired as a Postal Police Officer on December 31, 1999. Preceded in death by wife of 59 years Maxine Holley; Parents, Herman White & Mary Elizabeth Holley; Sister, Linda Faye Holley; Brothers, James, Buddy, Bobby and Doug Holley; Great Grandson, Baby Daniel III.Survived by son Michael Holley & wife Debra of Forney; Daughter, Vicky Holley Garrison & partner Randy Busby of Blue Ridge; Grandchildren, Michael, Elizabeth, Daniel, Brittany and Wyatt; Great Grandchildren, River, Elisia, Pyper, Tru, Devan, Damyan, Nathan, Layla and Dakota; Sisters, Wanda Bates of Greenville, Rita & husband Gary Wineinger of Texarkana, Brothers, Gerald & wife Dottie Holley of Cash, Bill & wife Elaine Holley of Midlothian, numerous nieces, nephews , other family and close friends.
