We sorrow, yet rejoice to inform you of the earthly departure and heavenly arrival of mother in Israel, Nona B. Freeman who was 93 years old upon her passing. She was a Jesus name Minister, Foreign Missionary, Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandparent and beloved friend to millions around the world. She took the heaven-bound 10:45 pm flight on Saturday, December 26, 2009 from her home in Fort Worth, Texas. Lift-off was peaceful and smooth after 93 years of waiting on the run-way. There were many layovers at various terminals in her life but she never complained. Nona Bertha Freeman began her Ministry in 1939. She spread the gospel of Jesus Christ for over 70 years as a Preacher, Speaker, Columnist, Evangelist and beloved author of more than twenty books. She preached and served as a pastor and missionary wife throughout the U.S. and for 41 years on the continent of her burden, Africa. Upon arrival she was welcomed to her Heavenly Destination by our Lord Jesus and reunited with her beloved spouse of 62 years, E.L. 'Bug' Freeman! She was also greeted by those who preceded her, daughter Marla, fellow minister and beloved mother, Carrie Lee (Powledge) Eastridge, her father, Earl Woolsey Eastridge, an unknown host of loved ones, and the apostles and prophets of old. Those left at the terminal upon her departure include her children, Sandra Freeman of Fort Worth, Texas; Linda Gleason of Albany, OR; Sharon Orffer of McCleary, WA; and Dale Freeman of Sacramento, CA. Also surviving are her siblings, Jerry Clare Eastridge of Tohatchi, NM; and Lyndal Paul Eastridge of Casper, WY; 16 Grandchildren, 34 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren, as well as a host of friends around the world.
