Nancy LaFon left from this earth to be with our Lord on October 13, 2012. She is survived by her son, Bryan Hogan and his wife Melody of Anna, TX, her grandchildren Nikki, Amy and Christopher Hogan, great-granddaughters Kyla and Lily Loven, sister Gloria LaFon and niece Cindy Cano. She was a devout mother, grandmother and friend to many. She never hesitated to reach out and help in a time of need. She lived her life for others and always stood by the people she loved. She was born Nancy Cobb to Marie and R.T. Cobb on May 23, 1945. As a child, she spent many of her days construing mischief with her sister through things such as creating costume jewelry and placing it on the neighbors porch with a hand-written invoice for the amount owed for the faux jewels. In a paper she wrote as a young girl she indicated that she aspired to be an airline hostess, as it was quite desirable and sheik for ladies in the 1960s to do so. She attended Dallas Private School, Bussey Jr. High School, Garland High School and East Texas State University. She spent the last 28 years employed by the Raytheon Company at various locations, in multiple capacities, in and around Dallas. She was a member at Meadowview Church of Christ in Mesquite. She loved her family and friends, music, , classic cars, shopping, cooking and collecting. Services will be held at the New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, TX on October 18, 2012 at 2pm. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 6-8pm on October 17, 2012.
