Nancy D'Angelo

D'ANGELO, Nancy Ann of Mesquite, born June 5, 1951, passed away July 28, 2013. Nancy was born and raised in Buffalo, New York.She moved to Dallas in the early eightiesNancy worked in food services for the Mesquite School system for 28 years.She was an avid animal lover, devoting many hours rescuing and finding homes for stray cats and dogs. Nancy collected Barbies, a hobby going back to her childhood.She also was a great fan of"I Love Lucy" and Hallmark ornaments.Nancy's greatest joy came from her grandchildren, Kendall and Christopher.She loved to hear Kendall sing and watch her dance, and she loved watching Christopher practice Tae Kon Do.She will remain in the hearts of all who loved her. Belovedwife of 42 years to Christopher R. D'Angelo; mother of Nicole (Chris) Shaw and Michelle D'Angelo.Proud gramma of Kendall Shaw and Christopher D'Angelo; daughter of Lorraine and the late George Danheiser; sister of David (Ann), Kenny (Cathy), Dennis (Darcy) and Kevin (Yvonne); aunt of many. A mass to honor Nancy will take place at 1:00PM Wednesday, July 31, at St. Michael's the Arch Angel Catholic Church, 950 Trails Parkway, Garland, TX. 75043. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00PM - 7:00PM.
