Survived by son, Monte Ray Wood Jr. and wife, Kellie Michelle Hippely Wood; grandchildren, Brittanie Michelle Wood McAughey & husband, Sgt. Michael Matthew McAughey of Camp Penelton, Oceanside, CA; Brandon Prescott Wood; Brice Anthy Wood and Brooke Danielle Wood of Wylie; great grandchildren, Gavin Wayne McAughey of Camp Penelton, Oceanside, CA; brothers, Makie Lee Wood; Dennis Mitchell Wood, Ricky Lyn Wood of Houston, TX; sisters, Mary Lois White, Bennie Estell Lowery of Houston, TX, Louise Laqua of Freeport, TX., Brenda Sue LaBlanc of Houston, TX. Service will 12:00PM Thursday August 14, 2014 at New Hope Funeral Home, 500 E. Hwy. 80, Sunnyvale, TX. 75182. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 11:00AM - 12:00PM. Interment will be 2:30PM at DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
