Milton E. Jackson Jr., born on March 30, 1937, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at the age of 87. A devoted follower of Christ, Milton dedicated his life to his faith and community. He is survived by his beloved wife, Eva Jackson, and his children, Darrell Jackson, Vickie Jackson Rhoades, and daughter-in-law Kimberley Jackson. Milton was a proud grandfather to Sheldon Jackson, Haley Jackson Stracener, Justin Jackson, and Garrett Rhoades, and cherished great-grandfather to Landon and Oakley Stracener, Waylon and Stetson Jackson, as well as Preslee and Gracelyn Rhoades. Along with numerous step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Milton's career in the construction industry spanned several decades. He served as a construction inspector for the City of Richardson's Capitol Improvements, alongside various roles with the Texas Department of Transportation and Austin Paving. Known for his expertise, he also worked as a self-employed contractor, constructing concrete structures and sidewalks. Milton's commitment to his work was rivaled only by his dedication to his family, whom he cherished and enjoyed spending time with.
An avid outdoorsman, Milton loved to hunt and fish, often sharing stories about his adventures with anyone who would listen. He had a particular passion for making fishing lures, which he enjoyed crafting in his spare time. His contributions extended beyond his family and work; he was actively involved in his church community, serving in various capacities, from working in the nursery to undertaking the responsibilities of a Deacon.
Milton E. Jackson Jr. will be remembered for his unwavering faith, dedication to family, and the kindness he showed to all who crossed his path. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his loved ones and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
Milton was preceded in death by: Milton Jackson Sr., Etta Dunn, Nelda Jackson,Gayle and Glynn Cook.
