Mildred Lorrayne Gafford Weaver was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on February 9, 1921, to Bee and Lela Gafford. She ascended to Heaven to be with the Lord on December 27, 2020.
Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Granville Weaver and daughter Janet Kay Weaver. She is survived by her daughters Billie Van and Lisa McCoy; grandchildren, William Payne, Michael Payne, Lindsay Smith, Matthew McCoy and Sean McCoy; and great-grandchildren, Jacob Payne, Taylor Payne, Jordan Payne, Aiden McCoy, Hailey Smith, Tripp McCoy, Madelyn Smith and Savannah McCoy; niece Suzanne Taylor; grand-nephews Todd and Travis Taylor; great grand-niece Laynie Taylor; great grand-nephew Colson Taylor; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mildred Weaver was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed the years she was able to attend weekly church services, teach Sunday School classes, and work in the day care center. She liked to sew, cook, garden, and play bingo.
She will be forever missed.
