Funeral services for Mildred L. Pruitt, 86, of Mesquite Texas will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 10th, at the Dallas County Cowboy Church, Balch Springs, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, 5 – 7 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home, Sunnyvale, Texas.Mrs. Pruitt passed away Tuesday, February 6, in Mesquite, Texas. Mildred Sandlin Pruitt was born February 23, 1931, the daughter of W. R Sandlin and Norene Knuckols Sandlin. Mildred is a member of The Dallas County Cowboy Church, in Balch Springs, Texas. Mildred retired from the Sherwin-Williams Paint Company after 50 years of service. Surviving her is her daughter Pamela Pruitt Roland and son-in-law Dave Roland of Irving, Texas; brother Virgil Sandlin of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren Troy and Mindy Montgomery, Corey and Sarah Pruitt and Lindsey and Matt Kinsey; great grandchildren Landry, Mason and Nolan Montgomery, Ethan, Ashton and Gavin Pruitt, Cade and Avery Kinsey. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis R. Pruitt, son Philip David Pruitt; parents W.R. Sandlin and Norene Sandlin; siblings R. H. Sandlin, Howard Dale Sandlin and Geraldean “Jerry” Mauldin. The family request in lieu of flowers, donations are made to the Dallas County Cowboy Church in her name. www.dallascountycowboychurch.com.
