Michael "Mike" Joseph Hines

Michael Joseph Hines, known to his friends and family as Mike, passed away on September 21, 2023 after his two and a half year battle with esophageal cancer. He was born on August 30, 1967, in Millinocket, Maine to Robert Joseph Hines and Pamela O'Brikis. Mike was a loving husband to Melissa Rena Bigby (Hines) and a proud father to his five children: Pamala Dianne Hines, Joseph Scott Hines, Bailey Joelle Hines, Kaci Nicole Hines and Gavin Dwayne Hines. He is also survived by his stepmother Rita Hines.

Throughout his life, Mike embraced various roles in his career. He dedicated over three decades of his career to Prestige Ford starting in 1992.

Mike found immense joy in his personal life through his hobbies and interests. Sports was one his biggest passions, he cheered on the NY Jets, Boston Celtics, and Boston Red Sox every season. Furthermore, Mike loved experimenting with recipes in the kitchen and mastering the art of grilling. He cherished spending time with his family, creating lasting memories around delicious meals. Exploring new cuisines and trying different restaurants also brought him immense pleasure. Mike also enjoyed travelling as much as possible and loved the beach.

Mike's sense of humor was legendary among those who knew him best. He was constantly cracking jokes. His sarcastic comments and quick wit had the power to make anyone laugh.

A visitation service will be held in memory of Mike at New Hope Funeral Home- Chapel on September 27, 2023. The visitation will begin at 5:00 PM and conclude at 8:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to join together to share stories, memories, and support one another during this challenging time.

During this period of mourning, Mike's loved ones found solace in their cherished memories. His infectious laughter and genuine love for his family will forever be engraved in their hearts.

As we say goodbye to Mike, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives through his jokes, laughter, and kind-hearted nature. His remarkable presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul find eternal peace and may his family find comfort in the enduring love they shared with him.
