Michael A. Epperson passed in peace on Sunday, May 22, 2016, leaving behind his loving mother, Audrey Aillene Godwin, and a brother, Jimmy Carlton Epperson. Michael was born in Dallas, Texas on December 31, 1965, and was raised in the Dallas area, attending Delay Middle School, and then Lewisville High School. He spent much of his adolescencewith his father until he returned to live with his mother. Eventually he and his brother Gary Epperson left home to make a life for themselves. He worked successfully in the communication field for many years until he began driving large trucks for a living. After that both sons, and their mother moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and stayed for about ten years, but because they missed their home, they returned. By this time Michael had developed health issues that included diabetes, sleep apnea, and high blood pressure. After returning home, he battled these issues by taking the best care of himself he could. Unfortunately at the young age of only 50, Michael went to bed one night because he was very tired. That night he left this world and went into the arms of his Savior. As far as Michael’s salvation, I remember the day he gave his heart to Jesus. I led him through the sinner’s prayer, and when he came to the part where he invited Jesus into his heart, tears came to his eyes, and he fell into my arms. A medical examination revealed that Michael had an enlarged heart that the doctor said practically burst in his chest, which was the result of hypertension and high blood pressure. Michael was a precious son who looked after his mother every day, and also had good friends who were special to him. Now that he’s gone, they help her in every way they can. She is thankful that God sent them to her, and that Michael is still looking after her through them. Thank you, Mark, Pat, Robert, and Tony. God will bless you all. Until that day when we will all meet again I’m sure he would have you know that he loves you, and that he’s happy in the presence of our Lord. May God bless you all.
