It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Michael Wayne Basden. He went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 26,2016. Mike was employed as a merchandising vendor for Lowe's Home Improvement. His work took hime to many cities across the United States, but his last morning was spent at the place he loved most, which was the home that he shared with his ex wife, and longtime friend and soulmate, "Tara" (Kim), and their daughter, Ami. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Roland James Basden, and his mother, Betty Jo Wesson. He was survived by Kim Cuban, daughter Ami Basden, grandchildren Ashlea Basden, Alena Laroe, Andrew Basden, and great grandson, Carson Laroe. He is also survived by his sisters, Lynne Presnell, Cameron Basden (Vivian), Peri White (Kelvin), Sandi Barrett, and brother, Greg Tittle (Karen), and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was a compassionate and generous man. He was someone who was always eager, and willing to help a friend, or a family in need. In his spare time, he enjoyed doing yardwork, or planning and building his next project. His passions were music, antiques, fixing and refurbishing things, his family, and always his beloved "Tara". He had a strong love for his family. He had a special place in his heart for his "favorite" great-grandson, Carson. His witty sense of humor, and the ability to lighten any situation is one of the many things that he will be remembered for. Though we had hoped for many more years with him, we are comforted knowing that he led a full, and happy life. The stories and memories that people have shared, are countless, and will be treasured. Mike was a great man, and will be missed. He has left this earth for his new home in Heaven, but will live on in our hearts, forever. A memorial service will be held at lpm on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the home of his brother-in-lawand sister, Kelvin and Peri White. The address is 1551E. Alamosa Dr., Terrell, Tx. 75160 (In Winner's Circle Estates). We encourage anyone with pictures, or memorabilia, to please bring it. Everything will be returned. Also, if anyone would like to share a story during the service, we would love to hear it. Please join us for a buffet lunch, following the service. We look forward to spending time with Mike's friends, and family. Casual dress, please.
