SIMS, Merlin of Mesquite, born March 5, 1941 in Shattuck, OK., passed away July 3, 2003. Survived by wife of 46 years, Carlotta Sims of Mesquite; son & daughter-in-law, Danny & Donna Sims of Mesquite; daughters & sons-in-law: Debbie & Jerry Seabourn of Mesquite, Kim & Billy Carter of Mesquite; 8 grandchildren, Billy Bob, Jimbo, Charles, Tiffy, DaWoody, Tambra, Josh, Blakester; 2 great grandchildren, Madison & Braden; parents, Claudie & Mary Sims of Amarillo; sister, Florence Blackwell of Amarillo; brother, B.Von Sims of Amarillo; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Services will be 10:00AM Monday, July 7, 2003, at the Eastridge Park Christian Church, 2701 Town East Blvd., Mesquite, TX. 75150, with Dr. Dan Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Long Creek Cemetery in Sunnyvale. Family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Good Samaritan Fund c/o Eastridge Park Christian Church. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 4:00PM-8:00PM.
