Melvin Dale Jordan

Melvin Dale Jordan October 15, 1952 " February 25, 2009 Melvin was born on October 15, 1952 to Melvin and Eva Jordan in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Mesquite High School, earned an Associates Degree from Eastfield College, and later received a Bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at Tyler. Melvin served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. He worked in the grocery business for many years. Melvin enjoyed watching high school and college football. He was very involved in the athletic events of his children. Melvin was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Jordan; brother, Harold Jordan; sister in law, Mary Ann Jordan; and niece, Carmen Jordan. He is survived by his father, Melvin Jordan; children, Aaron Jordan and wife Kelli, Michael Jordan, and Heather Jordan; grandchildren, Jackson Jordan, Garrett Jordan, and Mady Langley; brother, Gilbert Jordan and wife Josephine; Nieces and Nephews, Richard Jordan and wife Leslie, Pam and husband Frank Burgin, Russell Jordan, Darrin Jordan, Kim and husband Mark Miller; and numerous cousins. The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone for their presence today, and for the many acts of love you have shared. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Servicewill be 12:30PM Monday March 2, 2009 at Eastridge Park Christian Church, 2701 Town East Blvd., Mesquite, TX. 75150. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 2:00PM - 4:00PM.
