Melvin Marcus Bentley

Melvin M. Bentley Sr. was born on January 21, 1933 and passed away on August 22, 2017. Melvin attended Texas A&M University, graduating class of 1954 with a B.S. in Agriculture. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and Association of former students of Texas A&M University. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents: Marcus and Corrine Bentley and son, Benjamin Kyle Bentley. Melvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol L. Bentley; children: Mark Bentley JR. and wife Debbie, Brian Bentley, Kendra Bentley; grandchildren: Marcus Bentley III, and Chance Parker, Matt and Stephanie Mann, Melissa and Eddy Isas, Megan and Wes Eustes; great grandchildren: Phoebe Parker and Lawson Eustes. A visitation will be held for Melvin on Sunday August 27, 2017 from 3:00PM-5:00PM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas. Funeral Service will be on Monday August 28, 2017 at 10:00AM at New Hope Funeral Home with interment to follow at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas at 2:15PM.
