Maurice Thomas Millen

MILLEN, Thomas born July 16, 1930 in Monticello, AR, and passed on December 19, 2010 in Mesquite, TX. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, he entered the U. S. Air Force in 1951 and served in the Korean War. He was married for 53 years to the love of his life, Alice Harless Millen. Tom had a long and successful career as the owner of Circle M Construction until his retirement in 1995. After retirement he was involved in the family business as a mentor and trusted confidant to his two sons which succeeded him in the business. Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and his laughter and sense of humor will be remembered by many. Everyone who met Tom became his friend. He was respected and loved by everyone he touched. Tom would want everyone to celebrate his life and not be sad. He was a member of Urban Park Methodist Church in Dallas. Tom leaves behind his wife, Alice; two sons, Mike and Terry; grandchildren, Casey & his wife, Christian, Brandy, Mallory and 3 great grandchildren, Kennedy, Gavin and Tegan; his nieces and one nephew. Preceded in death by his mother, Jennie B. Millen; brothers, Joe & Lamar Millen. Service will be 2:00PM Wednesday December 22, 2010 at New Hope Funeral Home. Interment will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, TX.
