Matthew Cody Corker

CORKER, Matthew Cody of Forney, born September 11, 1985, passed away July 19, 2008. Cody attended Seagoville High School and then moved to Mound Ridge, Kansas, where he graduated from high school. He received a baseball scholarship and began school at Friendship Christian University. Cody enjoyed playing baseball and softball. He also took pride in his truck and loved being in it with his friends. Cody loved being with his family. He was always the highlight of family functions and made everyone laugh at all times. His family has so many wonderful memories of Cody and will always remember his kind heart. Cody knew no stranger and was willing to help anyone whenever he could. As a result, Cody donated his organs after his death and was able to give life to four other individuals. Cody will continue to live on in everyones heart. Preceded in death by brother, Bobby Corker, Jr.; uncle, Mack Hernandez; uncle, Norman Corker; grandparents, Max & Ruby Hernandez; grandfather, Oscar Corker. Survived by mother, Annette Hernandez; father, Robert A. Corker; sister, Ashley Hannigan; grandmother, Frances Corker; brother-in-law, Michael Hannigan; nephew, Trey Hannigan; brothers, Hunter & Hayden Corker; many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Service will be 10:00AM Wednesday July 23, 2008 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2829 Clay Mathis, Mesquite, TX. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6PM to 8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
