Mary Flint

Mary Frances Flint, age 81, passed away on September 10, 2024, in Mesquite, Texas.

She was born on February 20, 1943 to parents William and Inez Carter in Del Rio, Texas.

Her family relocated to Pleasant Grove in Dallas, Texas where she would later meet her future husband, Leon, at the Pleasant Grove movie theater. The couple were married in May 1958 and were married for 57 years and had 3 children, Lovell, William (Bubba), and Donna.

Early in their marriage, Mary and Leon moved the family to Mesquite, Texas where they remained until their passing; Leon in 2015, and Mary on September 10, 2024 after suffering several years with dementia.

Mary enjoyed playing slot machines, gardening, and seeing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all.

Mary is survived by daughters, Lovell Roach and husband Doug, and Donna Ferguson and husband James; son, William (Bubba) Flint and wife Kim; grandchildren, Amanda Buckner, Samantha Buckner, Brittany Flint, Michael Ferguson, and Morgan Ferguson; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her late husband, Leon Flint; parents, William and Inez Carter; and brother, Curtis Carter.

Mary Flint will be laid to rest in a private graveside service at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunnyvale, Texas.
